Gonzalo Hergueta

Gonzalo Hergueta is a director and designer born in Santander who has spent much of the past decade developing his career in New York. His work is rooted in a documentary sensibility, while exploring the image from a freer and more experimental perspective, moving between film, art, and design, with a recurring interest in memory, identity, and the people who inhabit these worlds. This approach has led him to work with figures such as designer Miguel Adrover, painter Cristina BanBan, and photographer Isabel Muñoz, and to develop a body of work that has found a place both within and beyond traditional film circuits—from the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, Central Saint Martins, and Harvard University to festivals such as San Sebastián, San Francisco, and FIFA in Montreal, where his latest feature film, The Designer Is Dead, received the Jury Prize in 2026._JAP_ゴンサロ・エルゲタは、サンタンデール生まれのディレクター/デザイナー。
