The Jump

‘The Jump’ explores the psychological terrains of leaping into the void, its potential sense of cosmic freedom, physical thrill, suspension and definitive end. Set within the tectonic rift of the Jordan Valley, a robotic voice speculates the conditions surrounding a Palestinian man’s jump into the Mediterranean.

虚空へと身を投じるという行為がもたらす心理的な風景を探る。そこには、宇宙的な解放感、身体的なスリル、宙吊りの感覚、そして決定的な終わりが潜んでいる。ヨルダン渓谷の地溝帯を舞台に、ロボットの声が、あるパレスチナ人男性が地中海へ身を投じたその瞬間をめぐる状況を推測していく。
