“Until We Get Closer – And Beyond.”
It has been eight years since I came to Japan. Since leaving the country I was born in, I have traveled through various landscapes, continually observing the changing scenery and the framed moments that emerge within it. My perspective is constantly shifting, yet something unwavering lies beneath it all.
Starting with the question, “What kind of place is a house in a dream?”, I began a journey to visit the dream-houses of others. The images that arise through these encounters, I realized, are deeply rooted in my own past experiences and memories.
Toward the end of the work, through a series of workshops, drifting words begin to weave a shared landscape. While transient and fluid, this newly formed scenery quietly illuminates something certain—something already present within us.
